![]() ![]() ![]() OK thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for, looking at this list I think I will have a problem with the progress the most, in lessons when I pull out of a junction, sometimes I can pull out and match the speed of other cars whereas other times I may be quite slow and I may slow down the other cars, I also have a problem with coming out of junctions (Luckily they are both as a result of each other) sometimes I feel like I will be to slow to pull out so I let cars pass when I really should've gone, but once I feel confident in pulling out as soon as safely possible I should always match the speed.Īlso my friend took his test a few months back and failed because a bus was at the stop, so he continued to drive next to it, but just as he was about to overtake it it pulled out which caused him to stop on a crossing which obviously resulted in an instant fail (well he said it was the buses fault anyway □) #Uk driving test major faults drivers#Just given how many people fail to give way, f*cking bus drivers especially, I can only imagine that people get hit with this one a lot. Hesitation (I.E not pulling out where there was space) Not doing mirror/blind spot checks.įailure to make progress I.E not driving at the speed limit where acceptable, or pulling out but not making appropriate progress, forcing cars behind to slow down. Things like stalling or the examiner having to intervene would be some common ones. (Distance is 20M for standard plates or 20.5M older plates (Presumably the ones that use letters to identiy age rather than the 1X/6X (0X/5X) system we have in place now)Ĭontrol. I felt like my instructor put more distance between me and another car's plate just to be sure, cause I had a bit of trouble reading it, but during the test? The plate I was looking at was clear as day. Instructors should really test this before hand though. Eyesight is probably one that crops up a lot. ![]()
